The Ketuba Within Recontracting with Ourselves

A FIVE-WEEK IFS + ART JOURNEY INTO ELUL
FOR WOMEN

The Ketuba Within

The Ketuba Within returns to Crown Heights: A five-week journey into Elul, using the Sefiros as our map and lending an ear to the many parts within.

Together, we’ll discern what is asking to take form. Then we’ll follow it, from the first glimmer of inspiration across the threshold where knowing becomes living.

Along the way, we’ll create a watercolor diary, learn a language for navigating our inner world, and deepen the experience through journaling, guided meditation, and compassionate conversation.

No prior IFS or art experience is needed.

This in-person circle is for women seeking a reflective, creative, and grounded process before the New Year.

What To Expect:

Week 1

A SPARK, A STORY & A PROVISIONAL YES
Chochmah → Binah → Daas

Where do we lose access to inspiration? Where do ideas remain vague? And why can a thoughtful plan still fail to become personally real?

We’ll follow one possibility from the first living question, through the discovery of its form, toward a provisional inner commitment—while learning the foundational IFS language of parts, protectors, Self, and compassionate inner listening.

Week 2

WHEN THE FLOW FREEZES, FLOODS OR HARDENS
Chesed → Gevurah → Tiferes

What happens when energy cannot move, enthusiasm outruns its container, or discipline loses touch with empathy?

We’ll meet the parts that overcontrol, overextend, rush, restrain, perfect, or protect—and explore a living balance of warmth, boundaries, movement, and responsiveness to the person or situation before us.

Week 3

WHEN TO PRESS ON, WHEN TO BEND
Netzach ↔️ Hod

What happens when resistance leaves us discouraged—or when determination becomes too rigid to adjust?

We’ll listen to the parts that push harder, give up, resist help, or fear changing course while exploring perseverance, flexibility, compromise, and the difference between abandoning a mission and changing the way we carry it.

Week 4

BEYOND PERFORMANCE: MAKING REAL CONTACT
Yesod

What happens when self-consciousness, fear of judgment, or pressure to perform interrupts our ability to connect?

We’ll practice moving from self-monitoring toward grounded presence, receptive listening, and genuine two-way contact—with our inner parts and with one another.

Week 5

THE INNER KETUBA: GIVING IT A VOICE AND A LIFE
Malchus

What happens when insight reaches the threshold of expression, but we hesitate to inhabit our authority or act?

We’ll gather the journey into self-led choices, a grounded Inner Ketuba, and a completed five-piece watercolor diary—giving what we have discovered a voice, an action, and a place in ordinary life.
